What are EcoWings?
A livelihood program of Project Propel, EcoWings focuses on equipping and empowering women from vulnerable communities in Metro Manila and surrounding areas.

EcoWings are an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective alternative to disposable menstrual pads.
Each EcoWing is sewn and handcrafted with love by a team of dedicated women.
How are EcoWings Made?
Each EcoWings are handcrafted using FOUR main materials:

Cotton. The colorful outer designs are made of 100% pure cotton.

Flannel. A softer flannel material was chosen for the inner aspect of the EcoWing that is in contact with the skin.

Fleece. Two layers of this ultra absorbent material are stitched inside each EcoWing.

Leak-proof Material (PUL). Between the outer cotton layer and the fleece is a thin layer of PUL, which prevents any unwanted leaks from occuring.

Why EcoWings?
REDUCE HEALTH RISKS
EcoWings are made from cotton blend fabrics that are breathable and hypoallergenic, free from harmful chemicals that are often found in disposable menstrual pads. EcoWings are made from non-toxic materials making it a healthier choice for females and the environment!
REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
Menstrual products and their packaging generate more than 200,000 tons of waste per year [1]. Reusable cloth menstrual pads save all that plastic from going into the landfill and into our oceans.
REDUCE COSTS
Based on spending 100 Philippine Pesos or 2 USD per month on their periods, a woman that menstruates for 40 years could potentially spend up to P48,000 on period products. Using reusable menstrual products like EcoWings can drastically reduce this cost!
WOMEN'S ECONOMIC & HEALTH EMPOWERMENT
The production of EcoWings provides livelihood for women in vulnerable communities. Project Propel also distributes EcoWings to women and girls and teaches them important facts on menstrual & reproductive health.

Purchase with a purpose when you buy these products! Products of this eco-conscious livelihood program are currently only available in the Philippines through the EcoWings Online Store (Lazada) and at various stores in and around Metro Manila.
